Terms of service

The rules for using the ingressd panel and website.

Last updated 3 November 2026.

The service#

ingressd provides a hosted panel (app.ingressd.com) that manages edge nodes you run on your own servers, and the open-source node software (Apache License 2.0). These terms cover the hosted panel; the node software is governed by its licence.

The panel is in early access: it has no availability commitment, and features and limits can change. Questions: legal@ingressd.com.

Your account#

You need an email address you control. Keep it secure: anyone who can read it can sign in. You are responsible for activity in your organisation, including members you invite.

Your nodes and what you publish#

You run your nodes on servers you rent. You are responsible for them, for what you publish through them, and for following your hosting provider's terms and the law where your nodes and visitors are.

Acceptable use#

Do not use ingressd to:

  • publish unlawful content, malware or phishing pages;
  • attack, scan or disrupt other networks or services;
  • send unsolicited email or abuse the sign-in email feature;
  • interfere with the panel, other users or other organisations' nodes.

Accounts that break these rules can be suspended. Where possible you will be told why first.

Email#

The panel sends sign-in codes for your account and for visitors to apps you protect with access policies. These are transactional messages only; ingressd sends no marketing email. Daily limits per organisation prevent abuse.

Price#

Self-hosted nodes managed by the panel are free. If paid plans or a managed edge network are introduced, their prices and limits will be on the pricing page before anything is charged, and nothing is charged without your agreement.

Ending#

You can delete your organisation at any time; your nodes keep running from their last configuration and can be managed from the CLI. ingressd may end the service with 30 days' notice by email.

Liability#

The panel is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, ingressd is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or data loss, and its total liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Law#

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Changes#

Material changes are announced in the panel at least 14 days before they take effect.
